Feeling Favored by God: Embracing His Grace and Love

Scripture: "For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace." - John 1:16

1. Reflect on the countless blessings and grace God has poured out upon you in your life.

2. Rejoice in the great joy of your salvation and the new life you have in Christ.

3. Recognize that God's favor is upon you not because of anything you have done, but because of His unconditional love for you.

4. Guard your heart against comparison with others, knowing that God's love for each of His children is unique and unchanging.

5. Embrace the feeling of being specially favored by God, knowing that you are deeply loved and cherished by Him.

Prayer: Dear God, thank you for your unending grace and love. Help me to embrace the feeling of being favored by you, knowing that it is a reflection of your great love for me. May I never take for granted the blessings you have poured out upon me. Amen.

My story

Growing up, I always struggled with feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. I never felt like I was good enough or deserving of happiness. It wasn't until I reached a breaking point that I turned to God for guidance and comfort.

I started to pray fervently, asking for God's help in finding peace and purpose in my life. And slowly but surely, I began to feel his presence in everything around me. I saw the beauty in everyday moments and felt grateful for the blessings that came my way.

I realized that I was not alone in my struggles, that God was always by my side, ready to shower me with his abundant grace and love. I began to embrace his blessings with open arms, knowing that I was truly favored in his eyes.

As I continued to walk in faith, I found myself surrounded by positivity and joy. Doors of opportunity opened, relationships blossomed, and I felt a sense of fulfillment that I had never experienced before.

Through God's grace and love, I found the strength to overcome my insecurities and fully embrace the person he created me to be. I am now living a life filled with purpose and gratitude, knowing that I am blessed beyond measure.

So, to anyone out there who may be struggling like I once did, I urge you to turn to God and embrace his abundant grace and blessings. You are special, you are loved, and you are especially favored in his eyes. Trust in his plan for you, and watch as he transforms your life in ways you never thought possible.

Go deeper 

As believers, we are indeed recipients of God's abundant grace and blessings. Ephesians 1:3 tells us that we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. This means that God has poured out His favor upon us, not because of anything we have done, but because of His great love and mercy towards us (Ephesians 2:4-5).

It is important for us to embrace and accept God's grace and blessings with humility and gratitude, recognizing that we are unworthy of such favor (Romans 5:8). This should lead us to a life of thanksgiving and praise, as we acknowledge God's goodness and faithfulness towards us (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

However, we must also remember that God's grace and blessings are not given to us for our own selfish gain or comfort, but rather so that we may be a blessing to others and bring glory to Him (2 Corinthians 9:8). We are called to steward the blessings we have received well, using them to further God's kingdom and share His love with those around us (1 Peter 4:10). In conclusion, as believers, we are indeed especially favored by God, and we should embrace His grace and blessings with gratitude and humility, using them to bring glory to Him and bless others.
