Expecting Miracles with Faith

Heading: Expecting Miracles with Faith

Scripture: Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

1. Believe in the power of God: Miracles happen when we have unwavering faith in God's ability to work wonders in the most unexpected ways.

2. Create a atmosphere of expectation: Invite God into every aspect of your life with hope and anticipation for the miraculous to unfold.

3. Trust in divine timing: Understand that God's timing may not always align with our own, but His timing is perfect and His miracles are worth the wait.

4. Speak life and faith: Declare positive affirmations and speak words of faith over your circumstances, knowing that God hears and responds to your faith-filled words.

5. Stay connected to God: Maintain a consistent prayer life, seek His presence daily, and surrender your will to His, trusting that He will lead you to the miraculous.

Action plan: Set aside time each day to meditate on God's promises, journal your prayers and desires, and actively practice gratitude and expectancy for the miracles that are coming.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of expectation and faith. I believe in Your power to work miracles in my life and I trust in Your perfect timing. Help me to stay connected to You, speak words of faith, and create an atmosphere of expectation for Your miraculous works. May Your will be done in my life, and may Your glory shine through every miracle. In Jesus' name, Amen.

My story

As a child, I was raised in a household where faith and belief in miracles were ingrained in our daily lives. My parents always taught me that miracles do not go where they are needed; they go where they are expected by God. This mantra became the guiding principle of my life, shaping my perspective and approach to challenges.

Growing up, my family faced numerous hardships and adversities. From financial struggles to health crises, we often found ourselves in situations where we needed a divine intervention to overcome the obstacles in our path. But through it all, my parents reminded me to hold onto hope and belief in the miraculous power of God.

I witnessed miracles unfold before my eyes time and time again. Whether it was a sudden job opportunity that appeared out of nowhere when we needed it most, or a miraculous recovery from a seemingly incurable illness, I saw firsthand the power of faith and expectation in attracting miracles into our lives through the grace of God.

As I navigated through my own journey, I carried this belief with me. When faced with challenges and setbacks, I chose to expect miracles from God rather than dwell on despair. And time and time again, the universe did not disappoint. Doors opened, opportunities arose, and blessings poured into my life in ways that seemed almost surreal, all made possible through the guidance and love of God.

Today, I stand as a testament to the power of faith in God and expectation of miracles. I have witnessed the transformational impact of divine intervention in my life, guiding me through the darkest moments and leading me towards a path of light and abundance. And as I continue to meet each day with unwavering belief in the extraordinary blessings that God bestows upon me, I am reminded that miracles truly do not go where they are needed; they go where they are expected through the grace of God.

Go deeper

Miracles do not necessarily go where they are needed, but rather where there is faith and expectation for them to occur. This principle can be seen throughout the Bible, where Jesus performed miracles in response to people's belief and faith in Him. In Matthew 9:29, Jesus tells two blind men, "According to your faith let it be done to you." Similarly, in Mark 6:5-6, we see that Jesus could not perform many miracles in his hometown because of the people's lack of faith.

It is important to note that miracles are ultimately at the discretion of God and are not solely dependent on human expectation. However, there is a clear correlation between faith and the manifestation of miracles. Hebrews 11:6 states, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

Therefore, while miracles may not always go where they are most needed, they do tend to occur where there is an atmosphere of faith and expectation for God to move in miraculous ways.

The Rooster’s Restoration

The Rooster’s Restoration: When Failure Becomes Your Foundation By Harold Mawela Akasia, Pretoria Scripture: “The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: ‘Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.’ And he went outside and wept bitterly.” (Luke 22:61-62) I woke up this past Tuesday to the sound of a rooster crowing somewhere in the dusty streets of Akasia. My neighbour, old Mr. Dlamini, keeps a few chickens in his backyard—much to the annoyance of the municipality, but that is a story for another day. That crow pierced the morning silence like a prophet’s whisper. And immediately, my mind went to Simon Peter. Now, let me be honest with you. For years, I preached Peter’s denial as a cautionary tale—a warning against pride, a lesson in failure. I stood behind pulpits in Mamelodi, in Soshanguve, in the city centre, and I would point my finger and say, “Don’t be like Peter! He boasted when he should have pray...

The Law of the Open Hand

The Law of the Open Hand: From Scarcity to Divine Supply in a Clenched-Fist World By Harold Mawela From my study in Akasia, Pretoria, I look out at a nation holding its breath. We live in the perpetual tension between promise and provision, between what is pledged from podiums and what is present in our pantries. The headlines scream of crises competing for our fragmented attention, while our hearts whisper the ancient, agonizing question: “Will there be enough?” In this climate, a primal instinct takes hold: the clench. We clench our fists around our finances, our futures, our fragile sense of security. Yet, I come to you today with a counter-intuitive, kingdom truth, a law as immutable as gravity but activated by faith: The Law of the Open Hand. The Parable of the Tightened Fist: A Story from Soshanguve Let me tell you a story. Not from a dusty theological text, but from the sun-baked streets of Soshanguve. I visited a community kitchen run by a widow, Gogo Mthembu. Her pension was a...

The Investigator's Faith

The Investigator’s Faith: Where Reason and Revelation Meet in the African Soul A Personal Encounter with Truth My friends, let me tell you about the day I became a detective of the divine. It was right here in Akasia, Pretoria, where the red soil stains your shoes and the summer heat shimmers like a mirage over the Mabopane Highway. I was sitting in my study, surrounded by books—theological tomes, scientific journals, and the daily newspaper filled with stories of load-shedding and political turmoil. That particular day, the front page carried a story about our local police station struggling with only five operational vehicles to serve 152 square kilometers . Can you imagine? How does one enforce justice without proper tools This got me thinking about our spiritual tools—how we investigate the greatest claims of truth. Are we properly equipped? I recall my uncle, a lifelong skeptic, challenging me: "How can an educated man like you believe a dead man came back to life?" Inst...
